This Privacy Policy explains how Gutlie (“Gutlie,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Gutlie mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”). Gutlie is a gentle wellness and education product — it is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

Information we collect

We keep data collection to what we genuinely need to make Gutlie helpful.

• Information you give us. Your email address (for your account and newsletter, if you opt in), and the entries you choose to make in the app — daily check-ins, comfort and mood ratings, food or symptom notes, experiments, and any messages you send us.
• Health-related entries. The logs above can describe how your body feels. We treat these as sensitive and handle them with extra care (see Your health data below).
• Information collected automatically. Basic device and usage information — app version, device type and operating system, general diagnostics, and anonymized usage analytics that help us fix bugs and improve features.
• Purchase information. If you subscribe, your purchase is processed by Apple’s App Store and managed through our subscriptions provider (RevenueCat). We receive confirmation of your subscription status, but we never see or store your full payment card details.

How we use your information

• To provide the Service — your check-ins, plan, Gut Score, streaks, and lessons.
• To personalize gentle suggestions and experiments based on your entries.
• To operate subscriptions and restore purchases.
• To respond to your support messages.
• To improve reliability and features using aggregated, de-identified analytics.
• To send emails you’ve asked for, and important service notices.

We do not use your personal health entries to serve ads, and we do not sell your personal data.

Your health data

Entries about how you feel are yours. We use them only to power your experience inside Gutlie and to provide support when you ask. We do not sell them, and we do not share them for advertising. Where required, we’ll ask for your consent before processing sensitive information.

How we share information

We share information only in these limited situations:

• Service providers who help us run Gutlie (for example, app infrastructure, the App Store, our subscriptions provider, analytics, and our email provider), under agreements that limit how they may use your data.
• Legal reasons — if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
• Business transfers — if Gutlie is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you where required.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your entries or your account at any time; when you do, we delete or de-identify associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records to meet legal obligations.

Your choices & rights

• Access, export, correct, or delete your data from within the app or by contacting us.
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in each email.
• Turn off analytics/tracking permissions in your device settings.
• Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional rights — such as the right to object to or restrict certain processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local regulator. We honor these requests as required by law.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

Children

Gutlie is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we’ll remove it.

International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where we do, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
